It was 90 degrees out at 10:30am. My friends and I had a great time ATVing at Pismo Beach just the day before and drove all the way down to LA to have some more fun.
Breakfast! Jack n' Jill's was the place to be! I can smell the yumminess creeping up my nose the closer we got. Once we walked in, there's a counter full of colorful cupcakes, cakes and other fresh desserts. Though it looked small outside, it was a fairly large restaurant. All the foods there tasted sooo good and fresh. The cup of orange juice was freshly squeezed and we can smell the large portioned pancakes passing by our table. With a party of 9 we ordered all differently so we can try a bit of everything. I ordered the pesto chicken sandwich with yam fries. The others had chocolate pecan pancakes, fruits with yogurt, strawberry pancakes, breakfast burrito, ham veggie omelette, morning quesadilla, and I forget what else. Everything was YUM! We all loved the yam fries, something we don't have everyday and was sooo good! After our meal, we ordered a few of their freshly made cupcakes to go. We got the Chocolate, Carrot cake, Red velvet, and oooh I want some now just thinking about it! Jack n' Jill's is at the top of my Breakfast places to eat at list!
Fish tacos there are the best! Oh my gosh and the Moose Omelette challenge! I didn't dare to do it but my friends did and YEA it was hilarious! Their fish tacos I must say is one of the best I've had and so far favorite! I was in hawaii for a friends wedding and was there for 5 days and went to Moose's 3 times! Great happy hour drinks with cool cups for souvenirs! My friend ordered a shot called Brain Tumor? something like that I forget. It looked poisonous! For breakfast they had this Moose omelette challenge where you get 1 hr. to eat a 12 egg omelette that has cheese, meat, veggies, and onions. It's ginormous! If you complete eating the entire thing, your name goes on the wall plaque and they give you a free t-shirt! None of my 2 friends got close to finishing but it was so funny to watch! They both ended up eating towards the end of the hour with their eyes closed, enlarged tummies touching the table, taking 10 million breaks, and the most uncomfortable faces ever hahaha! Gotta go back!
I went down to San Diego to visit my cousin and we went to have lunch at Casa Guadalajara Old Town San Diego. The ambiance was cute and very homey feeling. We sat outside and there were decorations everywhere from hangings to wall murals. It was so pretty! I felt like i was in Mexico really! The waiters and waitresses were dressed to the occasion and very nice. The food was yummy too! I ordered the steak fajita and my cousin had the fried chalupa. Oooh I miss the food!
